Anant I. Patel, MD

Anant I. Patel, MD, grew up in London, England and attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He graduated from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in 1989 and completed his Neurosurgery Residency at Ohio State University. Dr. Patel has been practicing Neurosurgery in Austin since 1998 and is an expert in treating complex spine disorders and brain tumors. Dr. Patel is the only neurosurgeon in Austin that currently performs the NexFrame frameless Deep Brain Stimulator for people with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s. He is one of six on-site, training physicians in the country for this procedure.
